Description
Lapis lazuli has always attracted people admiring its rich blue colour, from ancient times when it was used to make ornaments such as scarabs, while Cleopatra was known to beautify herself with eyeshadow made from crushed lapis. Up until the middle ages it was crushed to make the ultramarine pigment for artists.
These large balls of lapis are a divine colour and I’ve added two flowers hand made with small pyrite faeted drops and sterling silver on either side making this a necklace destined to charm all who see you wear it.
Finished with a hook and flower clasp, this necklace is approximately 52cm / 20.5”.
NB. The inspiration photo dress (found on Pinterest) is not included with the necklace.
Named Eldora which means ‘covered in gold’ in Spanish.
