It’s easy to host a Trunk Show
Just get a few girlfriends to together, share a coffee or a glass or two of wine and play with the jewellery that I bring along. It’s very informal, there are no presentations and no pressure – just a great time. The jewellery is stylish, irresistible and affordably priced. Everyone can find the piece that works with their style and looks fabulous on them.
You get to spend some shopping time with your friends and earn free jewellery. What’s not to love?
There are many reasons share some fun and jewels with friends – how about:
- A girls night out – any night from about 7-9pm with some wine, nibblies and great friends.
- An afternoon with friends – any afternoon around 2 – 4pm with some chilled champers and fruit for fun and relaxation.

What is a Designer Trunk Show?
Although it sounds exclusive, a Designer Trunk Show gives you the opportunity to get up close and personal with the designer and touch, feel, try on and learn about the jewels in a friendly one on one conversation
Trunk Shows started in the fashion world when a designer or their representative would bring in an entire line for viewing and for special orders to a boutique or outlet, giving the store’s customers the opportunity to see more than they plan to carry. The designer would be on hand to give information and style advice.
Who Should Host an Annette Piper Designer Trunk Show?

With everything from feminine floaty styles to big bold statement pieces and everything in between, there is something that will appeal to women of all ages, styles and budgets. If you like my jewellery and feel comfortable having friends over, you’ll do just fine!
What Should I expect at my Trunk Show?
You and your friends will have a great time! A Designer Trunk Show is always casual with no pressure and constantly interactive. Friends can drop by during the hours of the show (that typically lasts around 2 hours). I am on hand to help people find styles that flatter their features and lifestyle. Every guest will have the chance to try on all the jewellery they please, finding everything from perfect little gifts to pieces that give her a simple way to be stylish everyday.
I arrive around 40min before the start time to set up the jewellery, am on hand for the show to give advice, style tips and look after any purchases. After the show you get to select your hostess rewards then I pack the rest of it away. It’s that easy!
Is there a cost to hosting a Trunk Show?
No, there is no charge at all. Instead, you enjoy generous rewards of free and discounted jewelry, based on the sales at your Trunk Show to thank you for sharing this time with your friends!.
What is the price range of your items?
Jewellery starts at $25 and goes to $750.
What forms of payment are accepted at Trunk Shows?
Cash, cheque, visa and mastercard.
Can a friend co-host a party with me?
Yes! Sharing the hosting is a great way to get a larger group together and usually a larger group will result in more rewards to share.
Do guests take home jewellery from the Trunk Show?
In most cases, yes. As most items are one of a kind or limited edition, the guest can take their jewellery straight away – in irresistible, gift ready packaging. If a guest makes a special request for a bespoke item, it will need to be made and will be forwarded directly to the guest (at no additional cost).
Will my friends and I get to see all the jewellery at my Trunk Show?
I bring all of my current stock with me unless some pieces are in displays at galleries or boutiques. I may not be able to display it all, but it is there and many guests really enjoy rummaging through my storage boxes in case the perfect piece is waiting for them!
Where is the jewellery made?
All the jewellery is made by me in my home studio with the best materials and rigid quality control checks.
What should I do about invitations?
A postcard style invitation can be supplied if you would like to send out paper invitations.
Can I have food and drink at my show?
Yes, light appetizers and drinks and best – people are often so busy trying on jewelry they don’t eat much.
How often do you offer new products?
My range is being updated all the time – creativity is a little hard to pin down so sometimes I will have many new designs and others just a few, but you can always discover something new at a Trunk Show.
How far in advance should I plan my Trunk Show?
3-90 days in advance – it really depends on how organized you want to be. Keep in mind that throwing a Designer Trunk Show is not like planning a wedding! It’s easy to put together with my help.
How many guests do I need to have?
I love presenting a Designer Trunk Show, whether it’s big or small, and am grateful for every chance to style guests. Shows usually have a minimum of 6-8 but I have done them for 3-4 people (small, private shows can be as informal as you like – we can sit around the kitchen table and look at everything piece by piece if you like!) and up to 30-40 people. When you send out paper invitations, followed up by reminder calls, you’ll get the best attendance.
Do I need a special area or furniture to host a Trunk Show?
No! If you have a kitchen counter or dining table, you have all the space you need. It’s all about connecting with friends not about spacious locations.
If you like I can bring tables with me. If it is held at night or in a darker area I will bring lights so everyone can see the jewellery clearly. If this is the case, access to a powerpoint would be appreciated.
What if my friends can’t make it?
You’ll never find the perfect date where everyone can make it. Typically one half to one third of invited guests make the event.
I’m a little uncomfortable asking my friends to buy something. What if they can’t afford it?
I agree that people should only buy things they love! All guests are made to feel welcome and I give style advice with no expectations. If someone doesn’t find something for themselves during the Show, I hope they’ll tell a friend the wonderful experience they had. As there are items available from $25, people on all different budgets typically do find something they love. But please don’t worry! When you invite people, friends will clearly know this is a shopping opportunity – if they come they’ll be prepared to shop or just to socialize. If they don’t want to come, they won’t. No problem!
