This necklace doesn’t sparkle exactly .. it glistens 🙂 The rock crystal quartz is beautiful quality – but as it isn’t faceted, it is as if it is spheres of frozen dew. That was actually how rock crystal was named – coming from the Greek word for ‘ice’ as it was believed that rock crystal was eternally frozen.
Each sphere of glistening rock crystal is separated by a small faceted coloured gemstone – grass green peridot, golden citrine, royal purple amethyst, watery aquamarine, berry red garnet and stormy blue iolite. There is a sterling silver clasp so that it can be easily worn doubled, or just wear it long. A necklace that will literally go with any colour garment that is in your wardrobe. If you were to buy one necklace to go with every outfit this year, this is it!
The lovely glistening stones led to this being named Aether, a first born god of light, in Greek mythology.
