Tereine – pink sponge coral, pink topaz and sterling necklace [AP10-N731]
Pink is a difficult colour to find in the world of gems. Nature often presents us with quite a pale pink – pretty, but hardly startling!
In this case Mother Nature has been just a nudge to show her what we really love! Beautiful pink sponge coral (treated) is an usual colour to find and I’ve only been fortunate enough to find a couple of other strands of this beautiful organic gem. I loved the shape of this coral instantly and whilst it immediately matched with sterling silver, it needed some sparkle to really come together! Enter my precious (and rapidly diminishing!) hoard of pink topaz (treated) and a masterpiece in beauty was born!
The whole presentation is both bold and refined, organic and upscale, sleek and textural. Full of the best contrasts to ensure you will love it for years to come!
Finished with a heavy sterling silver bolt ring style clasp, this necklace is approximately 18 inches / 46cm in length.
I know this piece is going to be dearly loved, so I named it Tereine, the name of a Thracian nymph, in Greek myth, who was loved by the god, Ares.
