Chariote is a gemstone you don’t see around much, perhaps the fact that it comes from Siberia is one of the reasons – it’s not exactly on the doorstep! It is also a recent discovery, only coming on to the market in the late 1970s. The gems are usually a mid purple to purple/black as you see here in these earrings with their black with purple patches – making a very attractive colour combination that will look splendid with richer toned clothes.
These lovely big pear cut stones only needed a little extra adornment, so they have a wrap top in 14ct gold fill and hang from rounded 14ct gold fill earwires. These are the only pair of stones I have like this so once they are gone, they are gone forever.
