Jocasta – pearl, apatite, amethyst and rock crystal torsade [AP09-N626]
This three strand mixed pearl and gemstone necklace is a festival in colour. Bright pink and lilac is always a pretty combination, but a sprinkling of teal blue dazzles as an unexpected visitor within the beautiful pastel palette, making this one of a kind necklace special.
A versatile one of a kind necklace, you can wear this as a multiple-strand or twist one end for a torsade. The stunning Karen Hill Tribe engraved sterling silver toggle clasp can be worn on the side as a feature, or wear it to the back and revel just in the dazzling colours.
This luscious necklace lives for the warmer months when you wear it with sundresses, pastels, brights and white. However it will still add some summer sunshine in the depths of winter when worn as the only accessory with chocolate, navy or black.
These pearl combinations take an amazing amount of time to get ‘just right’ and this was no exception! Pink and purple pearls in three different shapes and sizes for the majority of the colour, icy rock crystal quartz and lavender amethyst for some sparkle and diminutive teal blue apatite for the unexpected touch.
Approximately 20 ¾ inches / 53cm in length when not twisted (twisting will shorten it slightly).
Its bright colours led me to name this piece Jocasta, an Italian name meaning ‘always happy’. |
